What I really want for Christmas (in no particular order)

• to sleep through the night*
• a quarter pound of fine smoked salmon
• new mittens made from recycled cashmere
• guaranteed reproductive rights for all
• more honesty
• no one going to sleep hungry
• an hour or so in a hot, dark yoga studio
• less war and suffering around the globe
• pets that get along
• more time
• consolation to those who are missing someone they love
• belly laughs
• all eligible voters to participate in elections
• grace
• homes for every person and pet
• no more billionaires
• peace

*I believe I’ve wished for this before.
