“Kill them,” Kimmel

I read a transcript of what Jimmy Kimmel said that caused him to be suspended indefinitely from his job and I can’t accept that his words are somehow more offensive than those uttered by a Fox newscaster. I also refuse to accept that the FOTUS* is in anyway qualified to be the determiner of what is acceptable behavior in this country – or anywhere, for that matter.

How could anyone ever allow a thrice married, established adulterer with three baby mamas and 34 felony convictions be the arbitrator of decency and morality?

Here are the words spoken by the “professional” newscaster as reported by the NYT:

Brian Kilmeade, a longtime host on Fox News, apologized on Sunday for comments he made on a broadcast last week in which he proposed killing mentally ill homeless people by “involuntary lethal injection.”

“Just kill ’em,” he said.

And now for Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue from Newsweek:

Kimmel said: “We hit some new lows over the weekend, with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.

“In between the finger pointing there was grieving. On Friday, the White House flew the flags at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level you can see how hard the President is taking this.”

The late-night host then played a clip of President Trump being asked how he has been holding up since the killing, to which Trump responds: “I think very good” and begins to talk about plans for the new White House ballroom.

The show then cuts back to Kimmel, who continues: “Yes, he’s at the fourth stage of grief; construction.

Obviously, we’re being ordered to use disparate standards when determining what is acceptable in terms of free speech.

This is not an opinion.

It is a fact.

If you are not deeply concerned about the state of this country under this regime, please share how you are able to disassociate from the current climate in which we are now living.
