This house just went (back) on the market. It sold 4/30/25 for $90k. It had been abandoned, had a boarded up window, an overgrown lawn and a garage that looked suspect. The buyers did some painting, a little trimming of the shrubs and dropped a fresh coat of the kind of blacktop one gets from a truck driving through a neighborhood with “a little extra from my last job that I can give you a good deal on” material. They also installed cabinets and appliances to create a kitchen and renovated the bathrooms.
The new asking price?
$275,000!
Are people really willing and able to pay that kind of money for what looks to be a crappy, way overpriced flip? How can the buyer now seller justify pricing this 1100 sq ft bungalow for triple the price they paid?
How in the world are young people and families ever supposed to be able to afford to buy a home of their own?
In the market for an outrageously priced new home? Here’s the listing!
It’ll probably go more than ours bc it has a driveway. People LOVE driveways.
Ah, we city folks know nothing about driveways and garages! But, I can walk to anything I might need – including medical care, groceries, a library and the best theater in the area.
