A Beautiful reason to have come home

The first musical I ever saw on Broadway was Grease in 1980. I don’t remember much of the show, but I do recall being mesmerized by the costumes, dancing and singing and, really, isn’t that what a musical is all about?

On Sunday afternoon I was in the audience for a production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at Capital Repertory in downtown Albany and I have to say, I was blown away. The show was spectacular – the costumes, dancing and singing far exceeded my expectations and I sat in my front row seat (thanks, DJP!) alternating between a smile so wide it hurt my cheeks and tears flowing down those very same cheeks. It was so damn good.

If you’re looking to spend a few hours being entertained, you’ve got one more week of performances. Catch this show – you won’t regret it!
